Constance Volk is a musician, a painter, and an illustrator. She is a member of Ensemble Dal Niente, the Grossman Ensemble and the Chicago Wind project. She was featured on Third Coast Percussion’s album ‘Aguas Da Amazonia’, and toured with TCP and Twyla Tharp Dance for Twyla’s Diamond Jubilee, culminating in a performance at the Venice Biennale. She has exhibited paintings at Bridgeport Art Center, ARC Gallery and the Old Town Art Fair, and has had solo exhibitions at the Oak Park Public Library, Saint Xavier University and Miller Beach Arts and Creative District. Constance is the creator of ‘Connie’s Characters’, a series of mix and match coloring books full of wacky weirdos, and ‘Play Us’, a dice-controlled live-sound installation where the audience determines the course of the composition.
